Area wildfires are affecting our air quality, making the air smokier than normal with more particles than usual.
You can check the current air quality in your area on multiple websites, including AirNow.Gov and Deq.Idaho.Gov/air-quality.
Even moderate air quality can affect children, the elderly, those with chronic lung diseases such as asthma or COPD, and those with heart disease.
If the air quality is affecting you, you can stay indoors and wear a mask while outside.
Those living with chronic lung diseases should follow their action plan. Please see the attached action plans for asthma and COPD from the American Lung Association.
