Bonner General Health is committed to keeping our patients and community informed about important healthcare regulation changes.
Beginning July 1, 2024, new Idaho legislation will require the consent of a parent or legal guardian for all medical care for any minor under the age of 18. You will be asked to sign a consent form for scheduled visits at Bonner General Health. If you have any questions, please call your provider’s office. We look forward to serving you and providing the best possible care.
The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) recommends an annual exam for every child.
Here’s why:
- Preventative care – Sick visits don’t allow your child’s provider to perform preventative care, like vaccinations. At a wellness visit, you can ensure their immunizations are current.
- Growth and development – Your provider will weigh and measure your child to ensure they are doing well for their age.
- Address concerns – The annual check-up allows you to ask any questions you have about your child’s health, including social and behavioral concerns.
