Stefan Yakel, D.O.

Dr. Stefan Yakel DO is a highly skilled and board-certified Orthopedic Spine Surgeon, specializing in minimally invasive spine procedures. With a fellowship training from the renowned Twin Cities Spine Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Dr. Yakel is well-versed in the latest techniques and advancements in the field.

 

Dr. Yakel’s philosophy is to isolate the true cause of the patient’s pain and direct a targeted approach of treatment that will minimize the amount of surgery needed. Often this results in no surgical intervention.

 

Prior to his fellowship, Dr. Yakel completed his Orthopedic Residency in Corvallis, Oregon, where he developed a special interest in minimally invasive spine techniques.

 

Currently, Dr. Yakel practices in Coeur d’ Alene alongside his esteemed colleague and friend, Dr. Doug Blaty. Together, they provide exceptional Orthopedic Spine care to their patients.

 

Outside of his profession, Dr. Yakel enjoys spending quality time with his wonderful wife and two children. He also stays active by engaging in various physical activities, including snow skiing and water sports.
